I developed this app because I was very annoyed that the GoPro developers didn't add a "display off" feature to the GoPro Hero 5 and GoPro Hero 6. The LED display is the main thing that drains your battery on your GoPro and when you don't want to use your display, why should it be turned on?
There is a feature on the GoPro that turns the display off automatically after 1 minute of not using your GoPro. But when you start recording, even with a smartphone, the display will turn on for no reason.
Let me show you an example of when is this app useful. Let's say, you're skiing or snowboarding, and you have your GoPro on your helmet. Every operation you do with your GoPro is through your smartphone. But every time you start the recording, the display on your GoPro will turn on and drain your GoPro battery. That's why this app is so useful.
The same thing applies when you have your GoPro on a chest mount.
